Spinner Ring Class--Saturday, December 2, 10am-1pm
Make your own fun, kinetic spinner ring in this 3 hour class! This beginning to intermediate workshop will focus on basic metal and wire texturing, ring construction and sizing, and simple soldering. No previous skills needed. Ages 16 and up. A fun class to take with a friend-- great girlfriends day out or mother/daughter class! Lapidary Class--Saturday, December 2, 2-4:30pm
Lapidary Class is an introduction to using the studio lapidary equipment to cut and polish your own stones. Students will be able to cut and polish at least one stone in this engaging 2 1/2 hour class. This class is a pre-requisite to using the lapidary equipment independently in the studio. Sparkling Gemstone Earrings--Saturday, December 9, 10am-1pm
Use pre-made prong settings and sterling silver wire to fabricate a professional looking pair of earrings, set with faceted CZ gemstones. Learn the different types and sources for pre-fabricated prong settings, soldering with these somewhat delicate components, and setting faceted stones. These essential techniques will enable you to easily create fine jewelry in your home studio. After mastering the techniques, you can purchase a kit to make a matching necklace--great to wear or give as a gift!
Intro to Fold Forming: Copper Ornaments--Saturday, December 9, 2-4 pm

Basic Chainmaille: Dragon Snort Bracelet and Earrings--Saturday, January 13, 10am-1pm
Learn the intricate medieval art of chain mail with artist Randy Bennett! Students will learn the basics of chain mail, making a Dragon Snort chain, a copper hook clasp and a pair of sterling silver earwires. Students will go home with their own hand-made bracelet and earrings in sparkling bright finish aluminum and copper. Fee includes all materials and use of studio tools, however you may wish to bring your own needle nose, chain nose and/or jump ring closing pliers. Kits may be upgraded to Sterling Silver for an additional fee. Class size is limited to 6 students.

Randy Bennett returns with a new beginner project: an edgy Stretch Bracelet in aluminum or brass and your choice of colored rubber rings. No experience necessary--learn the basics of chainmaille as you create a funky-cool bracelet. All materials (including pre-made jump rings) are provided, and tools are available for use, but students may want to bring needle nose, chain nose and/or jump ring closing pliers if they have them.
Gemstone Stack Rings--Saturday, January 20, 10am-1pm
Students will texture, size and solder as they create TWO stunning sterling and gemstone rings. These versatile rings can be stacked with others to create a variety of customizable looks. Drilling Stone, Glass and Found Objects--Saturday, January 20, 2-4 pm
Do you have a collection of stones, glass or other found treasures? Would you like to learn turn them into beads, charms and attachable components? Then this class is for you. Learn tips and tricks to help you safely drill your precious items then line with a tube rivet for a professional finish. Bring your stones or use a few of ours. Torch Fired Enameling with Joy Sabo
Create stunning compositions of colored glass over copper in this 2 hour torch fired enameling workshop. Students will be introduced to the basic principles of enameling, techniques, materials and tools. Choose from a large variety of colorful powdered enamels as you create a beautiful pendant and earring set. As time allows, materials may be purchased to make additional pieces.
Etching on Silver with Susie Penning
Learn all you need to know about how to etch on silver, including developing and sizing your designs, transferring designs to silver, the process of etching, and adding patina to your piece to highlight your design, all with an emphasis on safe practices. All of the materials are included in this fun and informative workshop. Due to the use of chemicals, we suggest you wear old clothes and/or bring an apron. This workshop is limited to 6 students.

Fold Forming Copper
What is fold forming? Fold forming is a distinctive metals technique developed, researched and cataloged by internationally known goldsmith, writer and instructor Charles Lewtom Brain.
Students in this class will be introduced to foldforming and will learn to create dramatic texture, form, and color in sheet copper as they practice basic folding techniques. No previous metals experience required!
Reversible Penny Pendant
Commemorate a birthday or anniversary, or create a unique conversation piece with this reversible sterling, gemstone and penny pendant. You will learn Fundamental metalworking skills in soldering, bezel setting, balling up wire, bail construction, patinas, and finishing. This is a great introduction to bezel setting and pendant fabrication. Students will be able to choose from a selection of gemstones and pennies. You can bring your own penny but it has to be solid copper (1981 and older).
Advanced Chainmaille: Persian Chain Bracelet with Randy Bennett
New Class! Learn the art of chainmaille with artist Randy Bennett. This more challenging pattern is best for students who have taken at least one of Randy's beginner level classes, or have previous chainmaille experience. Persian Chain is a more dense pattern weave with a nice weight, suitable for men or women. Fee includes all materials and use of studio tools, however you may wish to bring your own needle nose, chain nose, bent nose, flat nose, and/or jump ring closing pliers.

Sawing Basics with Instructor Susan Penning
Susan Penning will teach you from the very beginning. How to load the blade correctly, holding the saw so it works efficiently and correct posture are all elements that will be taught.
This class will focus on gaining confidence using a saw and lots of practice sawing straight lines, curves, angles and free drawing. You will leave class with a new found confidence and desire to keep practicing.

Learn to weave a designer seed bead bracelet and finish it off with a clever vintage button toggle! We've all got bits of silver--broken pieces, trimmings, and failed projects. Turn unwanted scrap silver into new usable material like a pro in this brand new workshop! Melt it, pour it, draw it and roll it--learn to sort and prepare scrap silver, prepare a crucible, melt and pour metal into a variety of ingots and mill new sheet and wire. Save money on refining and fabrication costs and get exactly the materials you need! Fee includes crucible and holder for you to keep.
STUDENTS MUST BRING at least 1 oz of scrap silver--traditional sterling, fine silver or scrap metal clay material (can be a combination). Silver can be purchased from the studio if needed.
