Reticulation is a metalsmithing technique that involves concentrating heat on a particular silver alloy to create random and dynamic texture to the surface. Peaks and valleys, tree bark, and mountain range like textures are all possible...reticulation is a chaotic and organic process yielding a truly one of a kind piece in every new application. Students in this class will learn to prep a piece of silver alloy, apply the heating technique, and inlay the reticulated piece into a sterling silver ring band. Learn to wield heat as a tool to create your own unique piece!
Studio JSD provides basic bench tools at each student bench in the Studio. If you do not wish to share tools, you may consider bringing the following tools. Most can also be purchased at the Studio at the time of class.

Cancellation Policy: Classes and workshops are fully refundable (minus a $10 processing fee) with a minimum 48 hours notice. Cancellations received later than 48 hours will not receive a refund. We will NOT issue a refund if you do not show to your class.
Workshops and classes are for students 18 and up. Minors can register with prior approval from the instructor and with parental consent.
