Building on techniques learned in Fabrication 1, students in Fabrication 2 will be practicing the basics of hand fabricating and soldering. Class fee $195.00 includes all materials. Tools are provided for use. Fabrication 2 is a prerequisite for Open Studio classes or Independent Studio hours.
Fabrication 2 will cover wire forming, work hardening, annealing, basic ring construction, soldering and bezel setting a stone. Students will create a variety of patterned wire, and make several pieces of jewelry including cuff and bangle bracelets, band or stack rings and a bezel set stone ring. Fabrication 2 is taught by Julie Sanford. Class limit is 8. Fab 1 is a prerequisite for taking Fab 2
Students may want to bring a notebook for note taking. All tools and materials are provided. Studio attire includes sturdy, closed toe shoes and garments you don't mind getting dirty or an apron. Long hair should be tied back. We have safety glasses but you can bring your own. Bring reading glasses if you need them for close-up work.

Classes can be paid online via paypal, use the add to cart option. Your paypal receipt will be your registration confirmation. Please allow a week notice to cancel a class as there may be a waiting list. Classes canceled with one weeks notice will be refunded minus a $35 administrative fee. Missed sessions may not be made up at another time but every effort will be made to catch you up on missed material during your next scheduled session, as time allows.
