Chasing on Three Dimensional Forms with David Huang
September 21-23, 2018
We were so honored to once again host the amazingly talented David Huang in September 2018! Our 2 previous workshops, in association with the Michigan Silversmith's Guild, were hugely popular and tremendously rewarding for workshop participants, and sold out quickly.
David Huang is an internationally recognized, award winning metalsmith known for producing amazing texture and form on decorative hollow ware vessels. David is a native and resident of western Michigan. He graduated in 2001 from Grand Valley State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with an emphasis in metalsmithing. His work is currently represented by galleries across the nation and has appeared in such publications as American Craft and Metalsmith Magazine.
“I don’t think of my vessels as being an expression of my voice alone. Rather I see them as the product of a conversation among the tools, materials, and myself in search of beauty.”
