Pearl Carving Class with Visiting Artist Betsy Lehndorff
This class offers jewelry and lapidary artists in western Michigan the chance to master an innovative new approach to carving freshwater pearls. The process is safe and easy, and can be done at a jeweler’s bench with simple tools. You will complete three projects, including a sliding pearl necklace, and have step-by-step notes and resources to take home. The only requirement – you should have experience operating a Foredom handpiece or Dremel tool. All materials and supplies are included, including use of a Knife Edge diamond drill bit (available for purchase from the instructor). Bring your own flex shaft if you have one, and magnification/safety glasses if you have them.
